AIR study group 3 days a week

To demonstrate the practical benefits of our AIR (autonomy, innovation, responsibility) education philosophy we offer an afterschool study support group, meeting three times a week. Already very popular both with parents and students in year 1 and 2 from French and Flemish schools, the first half-term results give ample proof of concept: all students have improved their quantative results – but more importantly, their attitude and organisational skills have been transformed. Teachers’ comments include words such as ‘motivated’, ‘willpower’ and ‘smiling’.

While academic subjects are the main focus of the study sessions, each afternoon begins with a ‘gouter’ at 4pm and a 20 minute presentation given by Aboretum College tutors about a wide range of subjects, bringing the world into the classroom and feeding the students’ passions.

Sessions run on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 4 pm to 6.15 pm, and new students may enroll at the beginning of each term. For more information, please contact Muriel de Bergeyck.
