A private school: the school tuition fees

In Belgium, all families are free to arrange their children’s education. Legally, we will be offering home schooling. The parents will entrust their children to our school so that we can educate them. We will create a cooperative company with a social purpose (société coopérative à finalité sociale), all the profits of which will be reinvested in the school. The annual school tuition fees will be approximately €10,000 for private parties (parents) and €23,000 for the students for whom the school tuition fees will be paid by the company that employs one of the parents (ex-pat).

The scholarships, valued at €1,000 each, will be allocated to the most deserving students following the entrance competition and end-of-year examinations.

This is the price necessary for the Arboretum to remain free, innovative and autonomous, completely independent of the education systems of the Communauté française and the Vlaamse Gemeenschap. It will however still be less expensive than any of the large international schools in Brussels.
